The Hellenic Statistical Authority in Greece noted a new increase in the levels of unemployment during the month of April.
More precisely:
The unemployment rate for the month of April rose to 17%, according to the data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
In particular, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in April 2021 amounted to 17.0% compared to its decline to 15.9% in April 2020 and its rise to 16.8% in March 2021.
The number of employees amounted to 3,714,575, recording a decrease of 154,202 people compared to April 2020 (-4.0%) and an increase of 38,683 people compared to March 2021 (+ 1.1%).
The unemployed ones amounted to 762,553 people, recording an increase of 31,202 people compared to April 2020 (+ 4.3%) and of 21,990 people compared to March 2021 (+ 3.0%).
The number of people who are not working or looking for work, amounted to 3,391,650, an increase of 92,205 people compared to April 2020 (+ 2,8%) and a decrease of 63,733 people compared to March 2021 (-1.8%).
