A notorious convicted terrorist in Greece has requested the convening of a special high court in order to achieve his transfer to a prison of his choosing.

The unusual legal recourse by “November 17” arch-assassin would have a special tribunal composed of supreme court and appellate level jurists convene to hear his case, when the country’s constitution stipulates that such a court is established to resolve disagreements between high courts themselves.

At the same time, Koufodinas, who was convicted of 11 murders after surrendering himself to Greek authorities in 2002, has filed a petition for his release.
