A rock slide inside the central gallery of the IMERYS Bauxite Mines near the village of Variani, at the 51st kilometer of the Lamia – Amfissa road, has left one worker dead and two trapped.
According to what has become known so far, the incident involves gallery 617 of the Bauxite Mines where, under unspecified circumstances, a rock detached and fell on a 4×4 vehicle, at a distance of more than 1 kilometer from the entrance of the gallery.
