The Piraeus Port Authority’s dynamic presence at this year’s Poseidonia, which takes place between June 6-10, demonstraes the significant successes of the Port of Piraeus with the slogan “Port junction in all services, excellence in all”, according to a relevant announcement.
Mitsotakis’ visit
According to the announcement, at the opening ceremony of the Exhibition, the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Ioannis Plakiotakis, the Ambassador of China to Greece, Xiao Juncheng and other government representatives visited the PPA stand, where they were warmly welcomed by PPA President, Mr. Yu Zenggang and other Company executives. During their visit to the exhibition stand, they had the opportunity to be informed in detail about the successful operation of the Port of Piraeus in many port activities, such as cruises, container and car stations, shipbuilding and passenger transport, express services, which have transformed the port into a global hub.
Opportunity for large investments
The President of PPA SA, Mr. Yu Zenggang after welcoming the visitors to the company’s stand, said: “With our presence in Posidonia we honor this important international exhibition, which has gathered the entire shipping community these days. For us it is an opportunity to highlight the great investments that have been made in the Port of Piraeus and which have led to its upgrade and modernization in all sectors in terms of sustainability, green development and use of new technologies within the modern digitized environment. PPA SA has a significant contribution as it has managed to make the Port one of the top five in Europe and at the same time a model of sustainable development within the strict framework of corporate social responsibility and its basic philosophy of sharing multiple benefits with all and especially with Greek society.
