New Democracy officials, after the announcement of the exit polls, talking to journalists, emphasized that “we are waiting for the official results”.
They commented, however, that “the evidence shows that what we were asking for a clear victory by a margin seems to be being achieved. We are waiting for the official” results, they added.
In his statement to the journalists, the government representative, Akis Skertsos, spoke of a “clear victory of the New Democracy”, but also of a clear mandate from the Greek people “to continue the great changes”.
Mr. Skertsos commented that “the exit polls are indications”, while he informed that a statement will be made when the official results are available from Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Pierrakakis on MEGA channel: Strategic victory for New Democracy
In the same climate, the Minister of Digital Reform Kyriakos Pierrakakis, speaking on MEGA’s election show, spoke of a “strategic victory of New Democracy.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Sofia Voultepsi, commented to MEGA that the results of the joint exit poll show that “the people do not want adventures”, speaking of a clear victory for New Democracy.
