A new case of major tax evasion has been detected by the special group monitoring digital business transactions of the Independent Public Revenue Authority.
He is a TV show host, who at the same time owns a telesales company. Following consumer complaints, Independent Public Revenue Authority-AADE auditors began monitoring the business’s trading behavior.
They asked for details of the deliveries from the courier company, with which the company cooperated, and found that, for four uses, 12,000 receipts, with a total value of 400,000 euros, had not been declared!
They also found that this particular presenter did not appear formally as a shareholder of the company, but had listed his mother.
Already, the prescribed fines have been imposed, while both the business is being checked for the remaining uses, as well as he and his mother for possible other tax violations.
