The OTE telecoms group, a subsidiary of DT, on Monday announced a windfall financial package of 6.2 million euros for its workforce, part of an effort to ameliorate economic, energy and geopolitical “turbulence” that has eaten away at consumers’ disposable income, it said in an announcement.

ATHEX-listed OTE, the biggest telecoms provider in the country, said the emphasis will be to support lower-income employees, with the maximum one-off bonus being 1,000 euros.

In a message to the workforce, OTE chairman and CEO Michael Tsamaz stressed that “I thank you all for keeping the OTE Group at the top. We have a great deal of work ahead, amid new crises and challenges. With confidence and solidarity, we’ll move forward.”

Additionally, OTE cited the signing of a three-year business collective bargaining agreement that envisions salary hikes.
