Landmark labor sector legislation passed by majority of ruling party MPs

A majority of Greek Parliament deputies, 158 out of 300 in the legislature, on Wednesday evening voted in favor of all 129 articles of a draft bill implementing reforms and a liberalization of the country’s labor sector framework.

The remaining 142 MPs, all opposition lawmakers, voted mostly against the main provisions, with the Communist Party (KKE) MPs voting against the entire bill.
