The Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece), as part of its operational planning for the promotion of Greek exports to emerging markets, organized for the 5th time the Greek participation with a national stand at “THE BIG 5 CONSTRUCT EGYPT 2023”, which was held from June 19 to 21, 2023 at the newly built Cairo International Exhibition Center, “Egypt International Exhibition Center”.
It is the most important international exhibition of building materials and constructions, the official opening of which was made by the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir.
Construction companies
The national pavilion was visited by representatives of major construction companies operating both in Egypt and in the wider region, architects, engineers and construction companies, as well as construction material importing companies. It is worth emphasizing that Egypt is a very important market for the building materials sector and at the present stage there are many projects in the country which continue at a rapid pace. For this reason, the contacts made in the framework of the exhibition are very important for Greek companies, which hope to conclude more agreements, given that many of them are active in the country participating in the implementation of large development projects announced by the Egyptian government, for the next years.
The Ambassador of Greece in Cairo, A.E. Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, was “present” on the first day of the exhibition, where he welcomed and guided the Egyptian minister to the stands of the national delegation. There he had the opportunity to talk with representatives of Greek companies, whom he encouraged to intensify their activity in this important market.
On June 20, after the end of the exhibition, the Greek Ambassador welcomed representatives of Enterprise Greece and Greek companies, as well as the representative of the organizing authority of the DMG exhibition, at a reception for the Greek delegation at the Embassy residence.
